Monday the 12th

I was sick again this weekend, but feel better now, headed down to my old house to meet Betty and to clean some things up. Also want to try to find my easel, I had to rip out the afghan I had started for Bonnie, found a great one that I want to make for her, but noticed I missed a stitch. Today has been kind of weird. Not much to write at the moment, but here it is.

TGIF

I haven't posted for the last few days, because I was sick from Friday until Tuesday, wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, but better now. Got to go to town on Wednesday, bought some groceries, and craft stuff, also took my daughter Bonnie to Cheddars for lunch, lost $40 there, I hope who ever found it needs it more than I do. Went back into town yesterday to pay some utility bills. Started some red hat ornaments last night, but may work on Bonnie's afghan tonight. Oreo and I went walking and checked mail while we were out.

Dreary Sunday

Woke up still sick and raining outside, I didn't go to church because of the way I felt. Found out from Bonnie that the tenant in the neighboring apartment was arrested last night. I know it got very noisy last night. Not much to write about, but did find another blog that I had forgotten I had started, first entry was a lot of the history of the family. Oreo is asleep in the rocking chair that he has claimed as his own. I talked to Phyllis for a while and also called Betty. She is telling me I need to maybe move into my youngest daughter's trailer, but I really don't want to. I am writing pretty early in the day, because I don't know how I will feel later on. Watching the Hallmark Channel, and will turn over soon to watch NCIS, one of my favorite shows. I hope everyone is having a great Sunday, and remember nothing is so bad that God can't fix it. Just, Give it all to God.

The Beginning

You know I love how the Bible begins; " In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." It tells so much, that God created a world, and then he went on to create everything of nature. You know every new day is like that, it is a new beginning. I have been going through some rough times, but I think I am handling it pretty well, but every time I feel down, I say 5 words, " Give it all to God". I love to smell the air after it rains, it smells so clean. I am from a little town in Louisiana, moved around after my husband got killed, for almost 5 years I lived in Wilmette, Il. with a very nice, generous man, but decided it was time to come back to Louisiana. As I said above I am going through some bad times, but there is no doubt in my mind that God has His hands on me, and is guiding my life. I wanted to come up with a cute title for my blog, so this is what I came up with, it has family and friends, because I love my family and friends, particularly the friends I made in Illinois, in fact my best friend Phyllis gave me a puppy, Oreo as a going away present, he is great company. This blog will be boring at times, exciting at times, but it is my life, as the song says, "some days are diamonds, some days are coal".
